Reproductive Imaging Ultrasound Tech PRN

Job Summary:

Provides health care services by applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.

1.Perform diagnostic ultrasound, which include (extensive OB ultrasounds, Biophysical profile, Amniotic Fluid index, Transvaginal ultrasounds, Echocardiogram). Uses interpretive skills to identify and record test results and report preliminary findings to Perinatolgist. Assist Perinatalogists with invasive procedures (such as amniocentesis)

2. Maintain ultrasound studies on PAC System, ViewPoint, and EPIC

3. Maintain Ultrasound equipment by regular cleaning (including thorough disinfecting of transducers.)

4. Proficient with ultrasound software

5. Perform QA on Ultrasound equipment.

6. Report problems with equipment to appropriate vendors.

7. Download outreach studies to Viewpoint.

8. Rotate thru outreach clinics

9. Prepares room, sterile instruments and maintain Ultrasound supplies

10. Actively participates in department meetings / team.

11. Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, specific job related hazards, and national patient safety goals. 12. Ensures positive customer relations interactions

Requirements:

Currently registered thru ARDMS required. Newly graduated candidates will receive 90 days to obtain. Nuchal Translucency certification required within one year of hire.

Current BCLS certification within 90 days of hire.
