Job Summary:

The Cardiac Care Technician will assist the physicians and nurses, performing paramedical duties as his/her skills indicate. These may include but do not necessarily limit or encompass scheduling patients, taking blood pressures, assisting patients with equipment, and assisting patient with exercises. In addition, he/she will do blood glucose checks and protimes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.

• Provide Cardiac rehabilitation to patients.
• Perform other Cardiac Care duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience in paramedical field, such as nursing assistant, EMT tech preferred.
• Telemetry experience or education regarding cardiac rhythms preferred.
• Must maintain an active BCLS card through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
