This position is based at our Appleton, WI A.O. Smith Water Treatment facility. We work with brand names such as Water Right, A.O. Smith Specialized, and Evolve.

Primary Function

Dispatches shipments to meet customer needs and maintains documentation.Prepares records of shipments and bills of lading and dray tickets for truck and rail carriers.Prepares records of receipt of incoming material and equipment and posts to open orders of suppliers.Responsible for accuracy of shipping documents and verifying receiving receipts with open orders.

Responsibilities
  • Review customer portals for orders and shipping information. Ensure that inventory is available to fulfill all shipments to meet the required departure dates by utilizing the SAP warehouse management system. When needed, to assist in preparing orders to ship with ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Transacting orders in SAP: pick/ pack and ship.
  • Creation of VICS bill of lading as needed or standard BOL for other shipments
  • Coordinate timely product replenishment from off-site warehouses.
  • Other duties as assigned and trained across various shipping channels.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of three years of shipping office and warehouse experience in a fast paced, high volume Distribution Center environment.
  • Must be able to work either independently or in a team environment.
  • Must have ability to create computer generated shipping documents.
  • Warehouse management system experience, SAP preferred
  • Proven data entry and computer skills are required. Microsoft office, including outlook, word, and excel
  • Bilingual Spanish-English preferred
  • Ability to communicate professionally within all levels of the organization, customers, and our carrier partners both verbally and written
  • Must be able to work overtime, and holidays when necessary
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Years of Experience
Minimum of 1 year related work experience
