Job Description
We are in search of a Shipping Supervisor who would be responsible for overseeing a wide variety of activities including shipping and receiving raw material and/or finished goods as well as maintaining records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas including: Filling and shipping customer orders, satisfying internal shipping requirements, ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel, filing work orders from production, packaging assemblies and receiving into finished goods, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged and overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
  2. Developing and maintaining departmental work instructions for all tasks.
  3. Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet shipping demands as dictated by production schedules and workflow.
  4. Maintaining your department so that it is orderly, clean and free from any safety hazards.
  5. Supervising staff by providing proper training, documentation and enforcement of company policies while maintaining a positive solution based approach.
  6. All other duties as assigned.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00a-3;30p

Requirements:
  • Associate degree in transportation, logistics, business or related field or a combination of education and directly related experience may be considered
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a shipping environment
  • Fluent in the use of shipping software across all carriers for both domestic and foreign shipments. This includes knowledge of customs requirements and associated documentation
  • Requires excellent organization skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, execute responsibilities with minimal direct supervision, and have a high attention to detail
  • Regular lifting of up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting of 40-50 pounds
