Position: Winder Operator

Location: Greenville, WI

Wage:$22.89/hr + $1.00 shift differential

Shift: 2nd shift

While reporting to the Shift Supervisor as the Winder Operator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of production operations.

This position is located in Greenville, WI.

What you'll be doing:

  • Utilize the computer, touch screen, master control panel, production schedule, and track material consumption.
  • Requires walking/standing 100% for a 10hr shift.
  • Lifting 20-4-lbs routinely.
  • Effectively communicate utilizing Sonoco quality terminology on production paperwork to trainers, and to supervisors.
  • Must be able to maintain continuous operation of line, which will involve trouble shooting, clearing jams, splicing, and threading equipment, and deciding if maintenance support is needed.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You can read and interpret gauges, ink colors and patterns, measuring devices (tape measure, calipers) and the ability to read instructions, complete batch documentation and quality checks in English.
  • You have mechanical/ technical aptitude including the ability to utilize basic hand tools, measuring devices, machine control panels and pneumatic systems.
  • You can stand/ walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders (less than 10 feet) and lift/ carry/ transport up to 50 pounds and the ability to maneuver paper rolls into position and to stack boxes onto pallets.
  • You can discern colors, patterns, and quality of printing/ tube while working in a safe and effective manner in a team oriented environment.
