We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Process Engineer - Plating to join our Manitowoc, WI team. You will coordinate, administer, and implement the evaporator plating, assembly, and waste treatment process functions to ensure cost reductions, environmental compliance, product/process improvements and controls, plant layout, workflow analysis, equipment and purchase justifications, tooling requirements, safety, project management, and manufacturing process development.

You will:

  • Responsible for maintaining manufacturing and quality standards in the evaporator plating and assembly areas.
  • Responsible for establishing manufacturing costs for new and existing product/processes.
  • Responsible for data collection, plot quality trends, perform reliability assessments, develop process capability studies, statistical testing and developing sampling programs.
  • Responsible for quality system compliance in manufacturing, including ISO document control for Manufacturing.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 4 years of Electroless Plating process experience, wastewater treatment, environmental reporting of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electroless plating process and chemicals, hazardous waste, wastewater treatment, environmental compliance, and reporting.
  • Jessup/Koch automated plating systems, Palm ENControl, and Hydrite/Atotech plating chemicals.
  • Federation of Environmental Technologists membership and training.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the company in support of job functions.
  • High degree of mechanical and technology aptitude.
  • Ability to design and provide definition of drawings and schematics.
  • Complete understanding of reliability concepts and process capability methods.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook programs and Auto-Cad software.
  • CEF or MSF certification.
